Founder & Principal Consultant

My insatiable curiosity was a defining feature of my upbringing. I was always keeping my family on their toes! Now, two decades later, that same curiosity has become the cornerstone of my career.

I founded Lab Rat Consulting, LLC to make scientific advancement attainable for everyone. I believe in sharing knowledge and advancing science through collaboration and relationship building. By bridging the gap between academia and industry, scientists and the wider community, we can push past the challenges in our industry whilst maintaining our most important characteristic; our curiosity.

I grew up in the picturesque city of Snohomish, Washington, characterized by it’s beautiful fields and meandering rivers,  framed by the Cascade Mountains. When you live in the Pacific Northwest, its impossible not to fall in love with the outdoors. Even if that means you are going to get a little wet!

When I turned 18, I moved to Chester, England to pursue my dreams of playing professional football. It was a good thing I was already acclimated to the rain! I still enjoy kicking the ball about with my friends, going for runs, and lifting weights in the gym.

I simultaneously fueled my curiously and love for learning by attending the University of Chester. I was awarded top marks and received my Honors BSc in Biochemistry. My notable areas of interest include Physiology, Cell Signaling,  Stem Cell Biology, and Cancer Biology.

After graduating from Chester, I moved back to the US and began work with a biotech startup in Charleston, South Carolina, where I aided in the development of a nationwide network of cell isolation labs for vaccine research. I enjoyed training my team, developing data management systems, and performing flow cytometry analysis of primary cell lines.

Today, you can find me in the Milwaukee area, collaborating with partners to establish a cutting edge Bioprocessing lab, networking with the local medical and biotech community, and working with clinical sites nationwide to expand PBMC capabilities for vaccine trials.
