Megan brings a strong scientific foundation and a commitment to clarity to her role at LabRat Consulting. With training in molecular biology and hands-on wet lab experience in epigenetics, she supports scientific rigor as Lead Technician while also leading the company’s scientific communications.

Her research experience provides a deep understanding of precision techniques and data driven decision-making, critical for high quality cell processing and cryopreservation.

Megan focuses on translating complex laboratory processes into clear, accessible resources, helping support both the company’s technical development and the scientists it serves.

Megan’s Personal Journey:

My path into science has been shaped by a combination of curiosity, adaptability, and a strong connection to place. I grew up in rural Wales, where my early exposure to the outdoors, animals, and hands on work fostered an appreciation for careful observation and making things with intention.

I have since relocated to the United States, where I play a key role in supporting the growth of LabRat Consulting. As Lead Technician, I help uphold scientific rigor and support the company’s technical development. Alongside this role, I lead the company’s scientific communications and digital presence, translating complex laboratory processes into clear, accessible content for a broad audience.

I later moved to Chester to complete my undergraduate studies, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree with Honours. During my studies and following graduation, I gained hands-on wet lab experience in epigenetics, developing a strong foundation in molecular biology and laboratory best practices. My time in the lab reinforced an interest not only in experimental work, but in the clarity and communication required to do science well.

Today, I continue to contribute across technical and operational areas of the business while adapting to life and work in a new country. Outside of the lab and office, I enjoy hands-on creative pursuits such as fibre arts, spending time outdoors with my husband and dog, and exploring new places.
